Pricing and Investment

It's not every day that you need or want professional photographs taken of you or your family. And there are a lot of factors to consider - not the least of which is the cost. Everyone has a phone that can take good pictures. So, for many of us, professional photography may be a luxury, there's no doubt about it. An experience that may be more in the back of our minds than top of mind. But when it comes to capturing your special moments, well, so very much more goes into it than "say cheese!"

Let me show you.

How many pictures will you take?

Yikes. “A lot” pretty much sums it up. Hundreds, for sure. But SOMENONE will blink in some of them, or a bug will fly past, or I’ll get the focus wrong, or the lighting will stink. Lots can happen, so, I always take way more than I think we’ll need to get what we want.

How many pictures will I get to choose from?

For seniors/grads and family sessions, my goal is to get about 10 to 20 shots for you to choose from - we often end up with more. These are your digital proofs. From there, we'll whittle them down to the ones you really like, or we can set up a package that includes the full gallery!

When can I see the pictures?

We’ll look at some of the shots in-camera as we go, generally at some point when we change spots at the location, or when you change outfits. But I’ll get your feedback as we go, so expect me to say, “take a look at this one!” from time-to-time. Remember, in-camera they won’t be edited, so they may look different than when I send them to you for review…

…which is usually within a few weeks after your session.

Where will my session be?

I have a few locations that I think you’ll like. But if you have a special place that you’re fond of, I’m happy to go there instead. In fact, I like that approach a lot, although I’ll ask you to let me know where you may be thinking ASAP so I can possibly scout it out in advance. The important thing is that you feel comfortable with where we end up. If it’s far away, we can do that too, however an additional travel fee may apply. As a natural light outdoor photographer, time-of day is often the biggest factor in how things look. Morning or early evening light will always be more flattering than the bright afternoon sun.
